YES CHILE April 8-10, 2010 - CANCELLED

Due to the earthquake in Chile, YES decided to cancel the forum planned in April


Latin American Meeting of Enterprise Youth:  The University of Santiago Chile through its Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer, INNOVO and in coordination with Foundation E, will organize the event – “YES Chile, 2010” on April 8 -10, 2010 with the objective of creating sustainable green projects that integrates different actors of the South America and Europe in the areas of education, investment, promotion and encouragement of entrepreneurship.

Objectives of the Forum
The main objective of YES Chile 2010 is to build towards the 5th Global Youth Employment Summit –‘Rework the World’– in June 2010 in Leksand, Sweden, which will set the stage for generating 2 million green livelihoods for young people around the world. This objective is in compliance with the objectives of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGS) of the region.

Specific Objectives
1. Sharing best practices and lessons in public policy, alliances
2. Provide tools to improve practices in the development of the micro and small business youth in the region.
3. Launch innovative initiatives of enterprise greens in the region that generate value in the field and be a competitive advantage compared to other regions of the world.
4. Detect and generate projects of green enterprise related to the thematic areas of the Global Summit on Youth Employment thus highlighting the opportunities for investors

 The defined areas are:
·         Healthy diets and development of organic products
·         Renewable energy systems and non-pollution
·         Innovative Technology for the Environment
·         Water and Sanitation
·         Recycling
·         Ecotourism
·         Responsible Exploitation of Natural Resources
·         Urbanism responsible
