About Rework the World

The 5th Global YES Summit - Rework the World gathers 2000 entrepreneurs and decision makers from all over the world in Leksand, Dalarna, 2-5 June 2010.

The entry point to the discussions is the employment opportunities of the future, and the summit is based on 100 concrete and investible initiatives and ventures from all over the world. The selected initiatives fall within five areas: Energy, Water, Land, Cities and People. The focus on concrete efforts gives an essential bottom-up dimension to the structure of the summit. This however is complemented by a plenary programme and a large number of discussions at a strategic level.

The ventures on display will be at different levels of maturity, but are all in search for increased impact. Some will be looking for small funds of philanthropic or aid capital, others will be in search of substantial injections of commercial funding. Yet others, will be coming to get input on their business plan or in search for strategic contacts. The focus of the summit is on how such emerging forces of change can be turned into transformative efforts. This has implications for main stream business strategies, financial markets and the wider policy framework.
