Program components

To anchor the Rework the World summit in tangible action, it takes its starting point in actual initiatives gathered from around the world.

Projects

Connecting ideas and resources to drive results

The market places of the summit
The Rework summit presents 100+ business ideas and projects. These are selected based on innovation in approach, job creating potential and contribution to social and environmental sustainability.

Through project presentations in reworkshops, coaching sessions, rethinking sessions, informal conversations, and visual displays, there are many opportunities for connections between business/project owners and investors/institutional actors.

The investment panel

On June 5, in the final plenary, a panel of investors – ranging from venture capital, pension funds, intermediaries, to social investors and development assistance – will respond to pitches from ten ventures, diverse in size and maturity.

The feedback from the panel will lead into a more general discussion on the gaps in the financial markets and on concrete steps forward – both to generate possible real investments into the ventures presented and in creating a financing system that can rework the world.

Selection of ventures
Selection of the ten finalist ventures takes place during the summit, based on four criteria. Read about the criteria here
